Agilent is a laboratory-instrument company created from Hewlett-Packard in 1999. Most manuals on this site predate a later corporate separation and cover Agilent's former electronic measurement business—oscilloscopes, analyzers, meters, sources, and semiconductor test instruments—which became the independent company Keysight Technologies in 2014.
History
Hewlett-Packard separated its test and measurement, chemical analysis, healthcare, and semiconductor-products activities into Agilent Technologies in 1999. During the following fifteen years, Agilent branding appeared on a large electronic-instrument portfolio that continued many HP model families. That period accounts for the substantial overlap among HP-, Agilent-, and later Keysight-branded manuals in the archive.
On November 1, 2014, Agilent completed the spin-off of its electronic measurement business as the separate public company Keysight Technologies. Keysight inherited that product portfolio and its associated support lineage; it was not merely a continuing Agilent division. Agilent remained an active independent company and now focuses on life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets, so current Agilent laboratory products and historical Agilent electronic instruments should not be described as one unchanged product organization.
