History
The present corporation was established in 1931 through the merger of Annaka Electric and Kyoritsu Electric, although its predecessor history reaches further back into Japan's early wired and wireless communications industry. That distinction makes 1931 the supported formation year for Anritsu Corporation without erasing the earlier technical lineage described in the company's official history.
Anritsu acquired the American instrument manufacturer Wiltron Company in 1990. Wiltron's network-analyzer and microwave-measurement expertise became part of Anritsu's broader test portfolio, which helps explain Wiltron-derived technology and support material associated with later Anritsu products. The company remains active and continues to develop instruments for communications networks, RF and microwave systems, and related component testing.
