Compliance West USA

History

Compliance West USA was founded in 1983 as a product-safety consulting firm. In November 1997, it sold the consulting portion of the business to NEMKO and concentrated on designing and manufacturing test equipment for manufacturers and testing laboratories. That transition is important to the catalog identity: Compliance West USA is the equipment maker printed on the manuals, while NEMKO acquired only the consulting operation rather than the entire company or its instrument line.

The company describes its present range as production and laboratory equipment for hipot, ground continuity and ground bond, capacitive discharge, leakage-current, and surge or impulse testing. Its current site lists San Diego as the company address and states that its products are designed and manufactured in the United States. The archived HT-2800, HT-3000, and HT-5000 families therefore belong to the same electrical-safety testing lineage as the company's current hipot systems, even when an older manual shows a former Southern California address.
