The Schlumberger page is a historical instrumentation grouping, not a profile of the present oilfield-technology company now branded SLB. Manuals under this label cover several measurement businesses once associated with Schlumberger, including Solartron laboratory instruments, Enertec equipment, and communications test products. Those lines later followed different ownership and support paths, so no single current successor is asserted here.
History
Schlumberger expanded beyond oilfield measurement during the early 1960s by acquiring the British electrical-instrument company Solartron and establishing Société d'Instrumentation Schlumberger to coordinate electronics and measurement systems. Solartron contributed oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, signal-analysis instruments, data loggers, and related laboratory equipment. Schlumberger's 1977 annual report specifically records expansion of Solartron's microprocessor-controlled 7000-series precision digital voltmeters.
In 1987, Schlumberger combined Solartron Instruments in the United Kingdom with its French and German instrument operations as the Instruments division of Schlumberger Technologies. This history explains why the catalog includes Solartron-origin models such as the 7050, 7075, 7081, 7150plus, and 1260 alongside Enertec oscilloscopes and generators and the German STABILOCK 4031 communications test set under the Schlumberger name.
There is no single current successor for every instrument in this grouping. Schlumberger sold the Solartron businesses through a management buyout in 1993; they subsequently joined Roxboro, and AMETEK acquired several Solartron companies in 2005. Willtek's own company history says the German STABILOCK operation was sold to Wavetek in 1994 and later became Willtek. The public profile therefore should explain the shared historical imprint without presenting modern SLB, AMETEK Solartron, Wavetek, or Willtek as successor to the entire catalog collection.
