About Tegam
Reviewed 2026-07-26
TEGAM is a legacy precision-measurement brand now owned by Advanced Energy. The current owner continues selected TEGAM families, including RF instrumentation and sensors, 700-series bond meters, 900-series thermometers, and 94x temperature calibrators. Other archived manuals cover AC-ratio, resistance, and calibration products that are no longer necessarily active product lines.
History
TEGAM built a broad precision-instrument portfolio through internal development and selected product-line transactions. An official 2010 announcement records an exclusive license from PPM Instruments covering resistance-measurement equipment, laboratory nanovoltmeters, signal sources, and signal conditioners, moved to TEGAM's Geneva, Ohio facility. Other owner-preserved releases document TEGAM's work in RF power sensor calibration, resistance and ratio standards, thermometry, and specialized measurement for semiconductor, aerospace, industrial, and calibration-laboratory users.
Advanced Energy acquired TEGAM Inc. on June 7, 2021 for $18 million, describing it as a Geneva-based provider of metrology and calibration instrumentation and complementary RF power systems. The brand remains active, but its operating footprint is changing: Advanced Energy says the Geneva location will close in stages through 2026, with Gemini RF sensor production moving to Penang and selected RF, thermometer, calibrator, and bond-meter lines moving to Fort Collins; other products are being phased out. This draft therefore does not label Geneva as a current headquarters.
