History

Traceable's official history says Gerald Cooney founded the business in Friendswood, Texas, in 1978, initially producing a U.S.-to-metric conversion calculator. It records a digital timer for the scientific market in 1981, a countdown timer and conductivity standards in 1982, NIST traceability in 1987, registration of the Traceable trademark in 1996, and an ISO/IEC 17025, A2LA-accredited calibration laboratory in 2001. Those milestones connect the brand's early timing products to its later emphasis on documented calibration and traceability.

The company consolidated operations in Webster, Texas, in 2016 and introduced the TraceableLIVE monitoring platform. Traceable's history says Cole-Parmer acquired Traceable Products in 2018; Cole-Parmer's own milestone history says the broader organization was renamed Antylia Scientific in 2021 and lists Traceable among its brands. Current catalogs and product pages continue to offer timers, thermometers, data loggers, environmental monitors, and related measurement tools.
